January is finally coming to an end and it remains cold, but the snow did add a little excitement. We had a surprise visit from Dale Treadwell (Heritage in Schools) who introduced us to some dinosaurs and told us he’d help us with our bug hotel when he returns in June. The senior Room are busy with their E. U. Project and we look forward to showing off our work really soon. We will pay another visit to Fermoy Library to choose more books shortly.
The Junior Room have been learning all about The Hospital in Aistear this month. The word Aistear means journey, in the role play area the junior children are becoming familiar with life situations through role play and dialogue. They are also learning important social skills such as interacting, turn taking and sharing.
We are looking forward to February and a new season filled with lots of enjoyable activities.
