different, it has still been fun.
In the Senior Room we’ve had the chance to take part in an Art Partnership with a Cork Artist and we’ve enjoyed making Art using nature - from crushing berries to make our own ink, to designing our shadows with leaves and flowers.
The time has passed by so quickly and it was great to have had Eve in as a student teacher for 4 weeks.
The Junior Room have been learning all about dinosaurs and had fun making marbled eggs. Mrs. Smith also paid us a visit and we all went outdoors to have a chat to her and we enjoyed the lovely treat she left us, super sweet strawberries.
After our Covid Inspection and our yearly tests we look forward to some fun activities as we
attempt a Sports Day and a School Tour in school!!
We are so fortunate to have a wonderful, caring support staff here in the Adair. A big thanks to Anne Marie Kinsella and Clotilde Fitzgibbon for filling in for staff members while they were out. A huge thanks to Jessica Tanner for covering the Principal’s Day each Friday; the children were very lucky to have had such a dedicated and helpful teacher. A massive thank you to Mrs. Nagle, Ms. Jeffery and Eleanor for their continued hard-work and dedication to the pupils of the Adair. I, for one, would be lost without them. A heartfelt thanks to our diligent Board of Management who often go above and beyond to ensure the smooth running of our school. A big thank you to Margaret (and Trudi) for keeping our school nice and clean and to Stephen and John for maintaining the school grounds.
Words cannot express our gratitude to the ever supportive parents who for a few months again this year took on the role of teacher. We appreciate all your hard work.
And finally, to the lady who has graced our school office and computer room for many, many years now. Heather Fleming is a real gem; whatever needs to be done she does. She has kept us all on track through many changes over the years. We are so grateful for her and we’ll be lost without her. We wish her all the best for her retirement.
