There will be twenty six happy little children this Christmas who will receive shoeboxes from the folk in Adair; boxes packed full of exciting things. Thank you to all those people who joined in the fun of filling these boxes. May they be a blessing to those who filled them and those who receive them.
Peter Stobart, the new musical director in the diocese, arrived in school and within minutes, the children were singing rounds with great gusto. Hope he’ll come again.
The children attended Cork Pops Orchestra. This year the theme was built around wonders of the harp. Children learned about the blind harpist Turlough O Carolan who was a great friend of Jonathan Swift, and also about various songs and musicals which feature the sound of the harp.
Paul Aribilola switched on the beautiful Christmas tree near Shinnicks as the festival of Christmas was officially launched in the town.
Children are very busy preparing for their end of year performances and you’re all welcome. See you there.
