March 2017
The Postal Bible team arrived with boxes of prizes for the children who had successfully completed the course during the year. Their arrival is always greeted with delight as the children look forward to the sing song, the felt board story and the new game to test their knowledge. This year, Noel and Lisa retire. We thank them for the hours of care they have put into their mission work and we ask God’s blessing on their son and daughter in law who have decided to carry on the good work.
A huge thank you to Ted Hopper’s granddad John Mulvihill, who organised the erection of bird boxes in the playground. One box is attached to a nearby tree, and the other box is tucked under a ledge, with an extension lead to enable children to watch what is happening inside the nest from the computer in the cabin. Won’t it be fun when a little bird comes to nest!
The Open Evening was held recently and it was lovely to chat to so many people. The senior room kids played Inis Oírr and Rattlin’Bog on their tin whistles and xylophone accompanied by pictures and sound from You Tube, and they showed folk the movies they had created with iMovies. Many thanks to the parents who prepared delicious bites
