Mums, Dads and kids travelled on a family trip to Ballyquin Beach, and in a scavenger hunt they gathered lots of shells, stones, plants and sea creatures before building the most magnificent sand castles and eating barbecued sausages. Many thanks to all the parents who helped to keep an eye on the children and who also helped with the constructions. Thank you also to Mervyn Hodgins for supplying the sausages and to Diana Buckley and Carla Silva for cooking them.
In school, children learned computer coding with Barry Murphy and designed personalised computer games. Science Day with James Malseed saw water rockets being launched in the GAA grounds, competitive rocket races, smoke balls and electrical circuits been formed using humans! The beautiful weather enabled lots of physical activity. Not only did the children go swimming, but they also had soccer training with Felice Malizia to prepare them for the Euro Eddie Soccer Blitz, and they went out to Kilworth Courts for tennis lessons. Thank you to parents who chauffeured children to and fro…..and to Su Neuling for the coffee break at her home during lesson time!
