Directly beside the school is the home of the O’Reillys – this locality’s claim to fame, and last week we had the great pleasure of attending ‘The Children of Lir’, a musical show composed by Brian O’Reilly. There was something very special about watching Malik (his grandson) perched in the middle of the school group smiling so proudly up at his grandfather playing the guitar on stage.
We welcome Jack O’Donnell who is doing teaching practice in the senior room. The children are thoroughly enjoying the fresh approach as they are challenged to think and learn in new ways. I, on the other hand, grapple with embedding the ‘General Data Protection Regulation’ and the new ‘Child Protection’ procedures into the fibre of the school!
A reminder again to keep Saturday 23rd June free to come to our school Fete from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
