Over the summer there was work carried out upgrading the heating in the school - we had to close for a day last Winter as it was so cold!.
On another very happy note, the Principal, Andrea Mutabazi and her husband Keith welcomed little Ezra into the world on 14th August. We wish them every happiness. Andrea will be out on maternity leave for some months and Alison Jeffery has ably stepped into the role of acting principal - greatly supported by Gillian Nagle, the Special Ed teacher and of course Eleanor Condon, the SNA and Heather Fleming, the school Secretary. Anne Marie Kinsella will be teaching the Senior Room and we welcome her to the school 'family'.
We bid adieu to Matthew Bogan, Kirsten Gibson, Kacper Pustol and Fallon Fitzgibbon as they move to second level schools and we wish them well.
A special thank you must go to the Board of Management who have had a busy time over these past months with interviews, building work, Covid 19 requirement work all behind the scenes without folk realising it.
School reopened to pupils on Thursday 27th August. Again the staff have been busy preparing the school, putting in place all the protocols, rearranging furniture, clearing all the book shelves and spaces and creating bubbles and pods - all so the children can come to school in the safest possible circumstance. The classrooms will look different and the Junior Room and Senior Room will exist in parallel rather than mixing.
We welcome Bodhi Frankel, Sophia Cosgrove and Karina Kuznecova into Junior Infants and Jules and his sister Manon Munoz del Blanco into first and fourth class respectively.
