Adair School joined the other schools around Fermoy for the "One Million Steps" challenge. This fabulous health initiative, sponsored by the Credit Union, created a frenzy of activity when a pedometer was handed out to each senior child, and the number of steps each child had walked, was recorded at the end of each day. Glad to tell you that the children in the senior room, during school time in October 2014, exceeded the million steps required! Well done kids.
The senior children made wonderful masks and paraded them on the cat walk made of desks just before half term....and of course there were games and party fare for all the masked cats, princesses, monsters and witches. Thanks to all parents who helped with costumes and food.
We said goodbye to Padraig, our shared resource teacher who has left to travel the world. Hope he has a good experience.
And finally, we were sorry to discover that Heather Fleming had fallen, hurt her shoulder and was unable to come to school, but we're delighted that she is now on the mend good to see you back in action.
